This Privacy Policy describes how the Enzyme for NEET Prep mobile application ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the App. By using the App you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information we collect

We only collect the information necessary to operate the App's core features.

• Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, display name, and Google profile photo URL through Google Sign-In. We do not receive your Google password.
• Profile photo (optional). If you choose to set a custom profile photo, you can either select one from your device's photo library or capture one using your device's camera. The image you select is uploaded to our secure storage. The camera and photo library are accessed only when you explicitly tap the corresponding option.
• Study activity. The App stores the study, quiz, flashcard, and mastery progress you generate while using it (for example: which chapters you have studied, your quiz answers and scores, mock test results, and folders or notes you create).
• Leaderboard data. Aggregate scores and your chosen display name may appear on a public leaderboard within the App so that users can compare progress. You can opt out of the leaderboard by signing out of the App.
• Device integrity signals. We use Firebase App Check to verify that requests to our backend come from a genuine, unmodified copy of the App. App Check produces a short-lived device attestation token; it does not collect personal information.

We do not collect: location, contacts, SMS, call logs, microphone audio, advertising identifiers, or device-level analytics.

2. How we use your information

• To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
• To save and synchronize your study progress across sessions and devices.
• To display your profile (name, photo) inside the App and on the leaderboard.
• To respond to support requests you send us via email.
• To prevent abuse and protect the integrity of the service.

3. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on Google Firebase services (Cloud Firestore, Firebase Authentication, and Firebase Storage) operated by Google LLC. Data may be stored on Google servers located in regions including asia-south1 (Mumbai). Google's handling of this data is governed by the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation and Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Sharing and third parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers, strictly as needed to operate the App:

• Google / Firebase — authentication, database, storage, and abuse prevention.
• Our own backend service hosted on Google Cloud Run, used to send transactional emails (for example, support replies) and to compute the leaderboard.

We do not share your data with advertisers or analytics networks.

5. Permissions we request

• Camera (optional). Used only when you tap "Take Photo" inside the profile screen to capture a new profile picture. The App does not record video or use the camera in the background.
• Photos / media (optional). Used only when you tap "Choose from Library" to pick an existing photo as your profile picture.
• Internet. Required to sign in, sync progress, and load content.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing neetenzyme@gmail.com from the email address linked to your account. We will delete your data within 30 days of receiving a verified request, except where retention is required to comply with legal obligations.

7. Children's privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and above who are preparing for medical undergraduate entrance examinations. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use Google Firebase's built-in security features, server-side access rules, and transport-level encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect your information. No system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent for processing at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
